In the article " The Dangers of Reality TV " Timothy Sexton argues that reality TV is bad for us an one of the many different reasons, one of the many reason is that reality TV prefers one to make a fool of ones self that to be educated. How can education be unimportant in the world of reality TV. I for one agree with the author when he say the most dangerous message of all is that education is completely necessary to fulfill the American dream. I however think that to succeed at ones own dream is that you have to be grounded and have some form of education in order to succeed.
Firstly Education is the key to success. Without any form of education you are nothing. I was always told that education can open many door, so why would you choose to live with out it. For example you dress to kill for an interview and you are looking sharp, then you are asked a question and you say a bunch of nonsense comes out of your mouth. That goes to show that you can look as sharp as a tack but when you open your mouth you can sound dumber than a few light bulbs short of a chandelier
Secondly according to the passage education is completely necessary. How can education not be compulsory? Only a few have been know to succeed without an education. For example Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates etc. was able to make it in the world without a degree and succeed. From a personal stand point my mom has her own business and yet she never finished high school. Could I or would I be as lucky as her? I for one not taking any chances as I push forward towards a better life with an education. As a child I was always told it is better to walk for something than sit down for nothing.
The passage also mention that in school we are faced with difficulties of learning, when there is a much easier way to make fast money. A fool and his money shall soon part, meaning that no matter how much money you have if you don't have the ability to manage it you will loose it faster than you can count it. So that brings me back to the topic of education is necessary in life. Only a few have succeed without education.
In conclusion count your self lucky that you can afford an education. Education is necessary for one to be able to succeed in life.

Having thought about which pill I would take, my answer would have to be both knowing that is impossible to do I would absolutely take the red pill. Why? Because adventure sounds so much fun than reality. In the film when Neo was offer the pills and Morpheus explains how each pill work. Neo eventually takes the red pill that shows him how deep the rabbit hole goes. To uncover the truth about my reality i would use all measures available to me no matter the cost. Why you ask? Because there is no greater satisfaction than knowing the plain old truth.
Even though Morpheus always knew that Neo was the one and it was faith that had made him find him. Because he was the one who would be able one to defeat the matrix. Faith had brought him out of the matrix and made him free but it was will that made the one. Why? Because in the end when push came to shove he had to fight in order to survive the agents. So it all come down to how determined he was to get back to the real world.

Most people desire to have freedom, I believe that freedom can be earned and also be given. No one wants to be told what to do for most of their lives, however there is a measly few that don't mind being told what to do and when it is suppose to be done. For example the people that are brought from the third world countries where there were free to come here for a betterment of their families and themselves ends up becoming a slave to society because they cant be free. Choice are made when situations happens and consequences has to be face. My believe is that we all want some sort of freedom, whether it is freedom from oppression or our parents. I believe all freedom come with a price that we are most certainly not ready to pay.

In the passage " Why People Think They're Living In A Reality Show" by Colin Lecher, states that people have always imagined things that are not real. The author also argues that some people are getting the Truman Syndrome where they believe that delusions are real. I agree with the author when he says that people can deride these delusions as complete mental fabrication of the truth. I agree because most people think it would be better to live in a reality TV show than the world of today.
Firstly people who believe that they have the Trumans Syndrome are delusional because the often try to to perfect everything that they do in the eyes of others. When inturn they are less than perfect in their own self image. According to the passage in a culture where everyone seems to be watching everyone else it is really difficult to imagine that we are in a colossal TV show. Cameras have always been a fascination of mine but being in front the camera is a different story. For example do a documentary of your whole life story where you are the subject of of the film.
Secondly, when someone stares at you mindlessly, you can't help but think that something is physically wrong with you or your appearance. Like in the movie Truman Show we notice that Truman notice bits and snippets of him being on camera but they try to distract him in all possible ways. For example when he was driving going to work and the radio started to stick when they had to try all possible things to distract him.

3. During an interview, Christof states the following: " I have given Truman the chance to lead a normal life. The world, the place that you live in, is a sick place. Seahaven is a way the should be. " Is Christof correct? What if any, would be benefits of living in Seahaven as opposed to the real world?
Christof is incorrect. One has to be allowed to make their own decisions to be the judge of the cruelty of the world today. It is not morally right to control one's life without them have as much as an input or say to what has to be done for them and by whom. According to the movie the studio had adopted Truman from birth so he belongs to them. Yes he belonged to them as a child but every man has a right to make their own decisions whether big or small.
How can Truman have knowledge of the outside world when all the people he knew are fixtures place there buy the show. He can never know if there telling him the truth he just has to go with the flow. Benefits of living in Seahaven as opposed to in the real world ah there are none I wouldn't change my life to life the even if i was paid to. Why would anyone want to live where you just a pond on someone chest board and they will move you ifr it some much pleases them.

In the passage " I know the Truth, So Dont Bother me with the Facts" By Jeffrey Kluger;explains that as humans we have always been suckers for rumors and fabrication of fairy tales. Researchers have only recently conducted a survey to determine how sticky artificial beliefs are and how believing in them would make us free. It was then said that it would be easier to manipulate the truth in order to get what is needed. I agree with author when he says " even when people take the time to learn the facts it does no good", this is because we often contradict ourselves where the truth is concerned.
Truth is the body of real events or facts; actuality. Knowing some form of truth can be both nerve racking and unsettling for some people. Firstly when it come to speaking the truth or finding out what is facts or fiction is like weeding out the good from the bad. According to the passage is is easy to manipulate people's belief system with insulating pictures or inflammatory quotes. For example if someone tells you a story about what happen and you already heard the story from someone else, and the story ends up being totally different to what was said before to you. You now have to decide who was telling the truth and who is not and how you're going to wade through the options. Thus making it difficult to actually differentiate the truth as a whole.
Facts is the truth or reality of something. Finding out the hard facts of the truth or telling the truth is much harder than telling a little white lie. According to the passage even when people do take their time to learn the facts it often does no good. For example having to sit and listen to some rant on and on about how they were though growing up an you know for a fact that they were a wimp when you met them and they still are. Fact about this situation is the person just want their story to sound better and more interesting. Secondly some people are so wrapped up in telling lies that they believe it themselves until they can't differentiate what is the truth and what are the lies. The truth is lies and you often have to tell one lie to cover that lie and then another and another.
In conclusion people as a whole has always been duped by rumors. The truth is it is easier to manipulate a lie so it sounds like the truth.
